We have been making many changes in our household lately, where we live, what we eat, the color of our rooms, and now my blog. The blog has moved from Blogger to WordPress and from theariesmommy.com to ariesmommy.com. This is just the beginning of the changes, of course with the changes comes a learning curve. Thus why I have been quiet on Twitter, Facebook, and the Mamavation Forums this weekend. That and my lovely adventure in gardening, let’s just say plan A didn’t work.
This week I chose not to weigh myself, my next weigh in will be for the two week challenge on April 30th. The whole30 challenge is proving to be difficult, but not impossible. Getting the entire family to eat Paleo will need to be a transition, and done in phases with small changes. As far as workouts, running has been front and center with couch to 5k hill version in full swing, these mountain hills will not stop me.
Good luck to all the Mamavation Finalists! The campaign will change your life. Just remember, whether or not you are chosen, the sistahood is still here to support you.

I have a friend doing the couch to 5K running thing. Good luck! I have never heard of Paleo, so now I’m looking that up Have a great week!
Ashley,
Thank you. If you have any questions about Paleo just let me know. I may not have the answer, but I can point you in the right direction.
Making changes are difficult, but I guess doing them slowly and steadily is what wins the race right?
Have a great week
Krissy,
Yes it does, at least when it comes to changing eating habits.
I hear ya about life’s transitions! Especially trying to get the family accustomed to different food, not their usual favorites. Yay for tackling those hills! Your legs are going to be so strong (and sexy!)!
Heather,
Thank you, these hills are killer. I look around and go, where is the flat land for a little break. My legs are starting to feel stronger.
I love painting, but it sure is work. I think I’ll wait till your follow up report on the Paleo before I start it, LOL.
Anjanette,
Yes it is! It has also lead to multiple trips to the store. Lowe’s must love me this week.
I think change is good for everyone but change is also very difficult. I love to paint and change things around, although I am not good at it. I get these inspirations and ideas and mine never turns out the way “I” think it should. Nevertheless, it is great that you were able to take time out and begin making those changes. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Kathryn,
Thank you. My poor hubby is doing a lot of the heavy painting. He has the height advantage.
Congrats on the blog move!!
Hanan,
Thank you. Now I need to learn WordPress and Headway I am excited though.
I still want to look over the Whole30 stuff and see if I can do it in May. I really want to start moving my family over to clean living (yes – even my junk food husband). We’ll see how that goes.
Andrea,
It is a great program. You may want to start by introducing a Paleo meal or two each week. Before doing a whole30, so that the change isn’t huge.
The blog looks great! Is the hill version of C25K a lot different? I have 2 hills on the route I take now but I just take it easy if I have to run up or down them… it was a down hill I hurt my knee on before.
Sarah,
The C25K is the same, it is just all hills here. I was up to 40+ minutes of straight running on flat land. These hills were killing me, so I started C25k again to get used to the hills without injury.
changes are good hon. Love the changes. hope you have a great week.
Marie,
Yes they are
Change is a good thing, but it is also exhausting! It sounds like you’re kicking butt and staying on track!
All the change is exhausting, I’m certainly trying to stay on track.
I swear since we first met, it seems like the ONLY constant in your world is the fact that it will change in a minute. what amazes me most is the way you handle it with style and grace. you inspire me. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. BIG HUGS!
Thank you Shelley! My life is full of change, I have learned to just go with the flow.
