The Scale, Pack it or Take it?

Enjoy when you can, and endure when you must. -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Have you ever had something weigh on your mind that really should not be such a big deal?  The past week I couldn’t decide if I wanted the movers to pack my scale (thus living without it for up to 3 months), or if I should take it in the car with me.  Can a person who is trying to trim down live without their scale?
This journey has not been about the number on the scale for me.  It is about the reflection in the mirror, the size of pants that I wear (how well those pants fit), and of course getting into an actual bikini.  Yet, the scale is often the focus of my journey.  So, why is it so difficult to tell the movers to pack it?
Ultimately, it is a tool that I use and am familiar with.  It keeps me accountable when it comes to my food.  Thus, I decided to take it with me, and keep weighing in weekly.  Now wish me luck on surviving with very few kitchen gadgets.

I would kept that scale with me too. That is my reminder to stay on track and keeps me focus on my goal. Have a great week :)
