How many of you have a bucket list? Have you added to it over time? Do you try to check something off it every year? Or is it just a list of wishes in the wind? Before today, I have not taken the time to write out a bucket list. To be honest, putting myself last is what has stopped me. Here is my current list, in no particular order:
- Spend a summer in Italy and Greece
- Learn to speak fluent Spanish
- Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity
- Vacation in Scotland and Ireland
- Learn to ballroom dance
- Wear a bikini with confidence
- Renew my wedding vows on the beach
- Do a reverse pike body row on the trx
- Complete an iron man
- Master the perfect steak
- Be the cool grandma to my grandchildren
- A week at a silent retreat
- Workout with Jillian Michaels
- Skinny dip in the ocean *I hear it is therapeutic
- Stomp grapes for wine making
Something that I wish was simple to check off my bucket list is to reduce the chances my daughters will have breast or ovarian cancer. Sadly, all I can do is hope and pray they they will be the odds. Genetically, their risk is 85% for breast cancer and 20% for ovarian cancer. We already know the gene to look for, if you aren’t sure, please look into the BRAC analysis to know your risk.
