Imperfect Me

Unless I accept my faults I will most certainly doubt my virtues- Hugh Prather
The quote couldn’t be more true.  How often have I doubted my virtues because of my faults?  Countless times.  Just as one man’s trash is another’s treasure, our faults may seem like virtues to others.  How do we learn to accept them, accept that we are just human?
One answer would be to live to Just.Be.Enough.  We aren’t perfect beings.  If we were we would all be alike, that would make for a boring world.  I don’t do boring, in fact, it’s the little quirks and added spice that make my days enjoyable.
This week I have reminded myself that it is okay if I cannot get everything done.  The pile of laundry that needs to be folded isn’t going anywhere.  It is okay to let it wait, it will be folded eventually.  Nothing to beat myself up over, nothing to worry about.  Just do what I can and let that be enough.
Lately I have been reminding myself to breathe.  That there are things out of my control, sometimes I have to go with the flow.  Sometimes I have to embrace changes that I didn’t see coming.  In the end I will be okay, just have to stay true to me.

Great post. I can so relate to getting caught up in my faults lately. I too need to get back to basics. Just breathe! Thanks for stopping by my blog too.

I have fully embraced leaving laundry unfolded. For days. And I feel so much better for it.

Love this post! Great quote too.

I love this so much–and am so glad you linked up!! Breathing is good, and letting things go that can be let go. Sometimes we have to do those things to take care of ourselves!

Some days, it's best to just be. And know that we matter too, that we need time for ourselves.

I love that quote, and I love this post. There are only so many hours, and we can drive ourselves bonkers trying to cram it all in.

I will try to remember to breathe :)

I love this post. That whole getting-things-done issue is one I'm so familiar with. I get paralyzed by the shear number of things on the list. I'm working hard to accept that there are only so many hours in the day! It's tough, though.

Great reminder to focus on what we can do!

Thank you everyone, I am glad that you like the post.

Missy- I understand that paralyzed feeling. Lately my to do lists have been shorter and more manageable.
