Slow Down, Life is Waiting

There is more to life than increasing its speed. -Mahatma Ghandi

I know we have all heard that we should stop and smell the roses, but we talk ourselves out of it because there is just to much that needs to get done. The only problem for us moms is that the same things need to be done day in and day out, and there just isn’t time to stop.

There is no perfect solution to all the household chores and demands. What if you don’t “stop” to smell the roses? You just simply walked slow enough to enjoy their beauty and catch a hint of their fragrance. Sometimes, when we slow down just a little, we realize that we have a little time to stop and just be.

Enjoy your day and feel free to reflect and respond to what the quote means to you!

Love that quote! (I'm sure I'll put it up on my site one day.)

Also, I completely agree with this post. The Buddhists call it mindfulness and on the days when I can remember to access it, time seems to stretch out and I'm aware of one moment and then the next as I go about my day.

I am glad that you love the quote. I look for quotes that make me stop in my tracks and think.

Buddhism is a subject/philosophy/religion that I have always been interested in learning more about. If you have any suggested reading, I am all ears:)
